PGH.20/ROS/VC : Red Oxide Silicone Coated Glass Fibre Sleeving finished with a flame retardant hook & loop closure.
Our high-temperature firesleeve hook and loop closures are manufactured entirely in-house, from the base materials through to the finished product. This complete control over the manufacturing process allows us to maintain exceptional quality standards while offering flexible, bespoke solutions tailored to specific application requirements.
For retro-fitting firesleeve where disconnecting hoses isn't practical.
Characteristics
PGH.20/ROS/VC Pyrosleeves hook & loop closures are very flexible and easy to fit. The hook & loop fastening makes these products an ideal solution for protecting hose assemblies and pipework which have already been installed and disconnecting hoses is not possible.
- Continuous protection at an operating temperature of 260ºC
- Ability to withstand a molten metal splash at 1200ºC
- Excellent fire resistance - hook & loop is 100% fire retardant polyamide
- Peel strength: 1.8 N/cm as defined by EN 12 242
- Shear strength: 12 N/cm squared as defined by EN 13 780
- Provides personnel protection against burns from hot hoses, steam lines, etc.
- Helps to reduce energy loss by retaining heat within pipework
- When exposed to flame the high grade rubber will form a protective SiO2 layer
- Highly resistant to most oils, hydraulic fluids, fuels, acids, and alkalis
- Good abrasion resistance
- High flexibility
